Use the Correct Size Blasting Head(s)

The advantages of having a number of head sizes to choose from is the fact that you can focus the energy of the water jets on the material being removed and not the surrounding surface. Imagine a painter that wanted to paint a 4” (10 cm) line but only had a 12” (30 cm) paint spray head. They would have to lay down 4” (10 cm) of masking on each side of where they wanted the line to be and you can easily see how 8” (20 cm) of paint would be wasted. Wasting the blasting energy with a water blaster is no different.

No other water blasting equipment manufacturer offers you the extensive array of choices to optimize your productivity and minimize surface impact as well as minimize the use of water on the job site.We offer the following blasting heads: 6″, 8″, 10", 12″, 14″, 24″ and 48″. Our ” Quick Change ” system offers the most versatile and adaptable blasting head configurations of any water blasting equipment manufacturer, allowing the operator to go from as narrow as 6” (15.2 cm) cutting path for marking removal, to a 48” (121.92 cm) Triple Head for rubber removal in less than 10 minutes. While an NLB Starjet head takes 15 bolts to remove the nozzle protector and head, the Stripe Hog has exactly zero. Spin off, Spin on. No bolts and no torquing.

Our new tubular heads allow you to quickly change out the spray bars and position them in an infinite number of configurations. The spray bars that would normally be in the horizontal position for road or runway removal can also be positioned vertically for barrier walls. (pics/video shown below)

HOG also offers shroud and spray bar customization to your specific application needs.

We have recently created a new tunnel spray bar. It has a target effected removal blasting width of 8 feet (2.43 m) with 10,000 psi and 45 gallons per minute. This bar adjusts so it can spray walls, tunnels, and the bottoms of bridges.
